The Gunslinger movie Theory(and suggestions)

Columbia Pictures is owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment, April 14th revealed Snoy  that they would make films and a TV series Of Stephen King's The Dark Tower series. The first film will be based on the first book The Gunslinger. And since films takes about two years to make. I think that  The Gunslinger will come out in 2017.  Here is the problem most of them major film months already has a bluckbuster. March  has Wolverine 3 , Beauty and the Beast , Kong: Skull Island, The Divergent Series: Allegiant — Part 2 and Untitled The Smurfs reboot. April has Pacific Rim 2, Ferdinand and Ghost in the Shell. May has GOTG 2  , The Lego Batman Movie och Star Wars: Episode VIII. Juni har Fantastic Four 2,      Toy Story 4 ,      Wonder Woman , och Despicable Me 3. Juli har  Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Planet of the Apes 3 och Untitled Spider-Man film. November has Thor: Ragnarok, Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Justice League Part One and Untitled Pixar Animation film . And  December The Croods 2. But Augest has none. So Sony could release The Gunslinger there. it would be the perfect place for it. Since August has become the month for risky films like GOTG and Suicide Squad . And it would be a few weeks after the Untitled Spider-Man film . So they could attach a trailer to The Gunslinger to to each showing of the film. Since all will see a Spiderman movie associated with the MCU.  Think millions of moviegoers will know what The Gunslinger is.  And at least some will go and see it (especially if the trailer is good) if only out of curiosity about what it is. But where does Columbia Pictures come into the picture.January 2017 they'll release a remake of The Magnificent Seven. What if a teaser or even trailer for The Gunslinger would be released before the movie.  Because it is from the director of The Equalizer (which was quit popular and a remake of a classic. Since both are Western's it would fit very well. The Spider Man thing was more of a  suggestion But The Magnificent Seven trailer was a theory. Sony really needs to make sure many people see the movie because I really want  a franchise. Have many TV spots and a Web page that explains more about the world. Let Marvel release a comic book adaptation. have many posters and a comic con (which by the way is in the beginning of August) presentation.Rerelease the book with a movie inspired cover and major motion picture sticker on.Give it the blockbuster Marketing Treatment, And please spend 90 million dollars on the film.I want a professional movie with great special effects and production design.
And a well-known professional Actor in the lead role like  Viggo Mortensen eller Hugh Jackman.

Do not take any newcomer or b-lister. This book series deserves the same care as  Lord of the Rings !.
